Biography
Dr. Abi Sriharan is an organizational scholar who studies how artificial intelligence and emerging technologies transform organizations, professional work, and workforce development. Her research examines how organizations design and adapt human-technology work systems while balancing organizational priorities with worker wellbeing, professional autonomy, and meaningful work.
Her work integrates organizational strategy, innovation, organizational learning, and leadership, with particular attention to health-care and educational organizations. Through the SHIFT Research Lab, she develops research and organizational simulations to help leaders and professionals navigate technological change and the future of work.
Dr. Sriharan holds a DPhil from the University of Oxford and a professorial appointment at the University of Toronto. She has led and contributed to more than $7 million in research supported by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, and the University of Toronto’s Connaught Global Challenges program. Her honours include the Medical Care Research and Review Paper of the Year Award and the University of Toronto’s Eugenie Stuart Teaching Excellence Award.
