Frazer Faculty of Education Welcomes Four New Full-Time Faculty
The Frazer Faculty of Education is pleased to welcome four new full-time faculty members to our community. Joining the Faculty over the past several months, Dr. David Baidoo-Anu, Dr. Katrina Carbone, Dr. Abi Sriharan, and Dr. Robyn Read bring diverse expertise spanning assessment and evaluation, educational technology, organizational change, and comparative and international education. Together, their research and teaching expertise will further strengthen the Faculty's research and learning community.
Dr. David Baidoo-Anu joined the Frazer Faculty of Education as an Assistant Professor in Assessment and Evaluation on May 1, 2026. His work sits at the intersection of assessment, equity, and generative AI in education, with a focus on how assessment practices can support more equitable educational outcomes. He brings both global and local perspectives to his work, including experience advising national education systems as a World Bank Group Fellow and contributing to assessment initiatives across Ontario School Boards.
Dr. Katrina Carbone joined the Faculty as an Assistant Professor in Assessment and Evaluation on July 1, 2026. Her research explores the intersection of educational assessment, program evaluation, and educational technology, with a focus on equitable and authentic approaches that support meaningful learning across diverse contexts. A mixed-methods scholar, Dr. Carbone has contributed to research and evaluation projects including higher education institutions, school districts, provincial ministries of education, and international research organizations. Her experience as an Ontario Certified Teacher, instructor, and course developer also informs her work across K-12 and higher education.
Dr. Abi Sriharan joined the Frazer Faculty of Education as an Associate Professor on July 1, 2026. As an organizational scholar, Dr. Sriharan studies how artificial intelligence and emerging technologies are transforming organizations, professional work, and workforce development. Her research examines how organizations can adapt human-technology work systems while balancing organizational priorities with worker well-being, professional autonomy, and meaningful work, with particular attention to healthcare and educational organizations. Through the SHIFT Research Lab, she develops research and organizational simulations to help leaders and professionals navigate technological change and the future of work.
Dr. Robyn Read joined the Faculty as an Assistant Professor on September 1, 2026. A comparative and international education scholar and knowledge mobilization specialist, Dr. Read brings more than 20 years of experience connecting research, policy, and practice. Her research examines how knowledge, evidence, and financing move through educational systems, whose experience shapes educational decision-making, and how more inclusive approaches to knowledge production can contribute to educational change. Prior to joining Ontario Tech, she spent nearly seven years with the Mastercard Foundation in leadership roles focused on strategy, planning, research, and evidence mobilization, and has contributed to research and knowledge mobilization initiatives with organizations including the Global Partnership for Education, the Comparative and International Education Society, the European Commission, and Aga Khan Foundation Canada.
