Dr. Ruttenberg-Rozen named Ontario Tech Research Excellence Chair

Ontario Tech has announced the 2025 cohort of Research Excellence Chairs (REC), recognizing outstanding faculty members whose research drives innovation, discovery, and social programs. Among this year's honorees is Dr. Robyn Ruttenberg-Rozen, Associate Professor in the Frazer Faculty of Education, who has been named a Research Excellence Chair in Social Innovation (Stream 3) for her work in artificial intelligence (AI) and the future of inclusive STEAM education.
The Social Innovation stream is open to tenured and tenure-track faculty whose research addresses complex social or environmental challenges through creative and transformative approaches. This designation celebrates Dr. Ruttenberg-Rozen's leadership in advancing socially impactful research that fosters meaningful change in education and beyond. In this space, she is exploring how AI is disrupting (both negatively and positively) inclusive practices in the STEAM classroom, and how educators can think about AI and plan for more inclusive learning.
